​Hey, my name is Katie Thayer, and this is my first year in Title One at Iowa Elementary. After spending 12 years in the medical field, I decided on a career change. I am a mother of two wonderful daughters who have attended Iowa, and after seeing their teachers’ impact on them, I decided to become part of this fantastic team of educators. I work with students K-5 helping them read and learn new words; my favorite part is seeing the kids grow confident in their reading abilities. When I am not at work, I love breakfast dates with my husband, camping, road trips, visiting national parks and doing crafts. I am excited to be part of your child’s education and look forward to seeing their successes. GO EAGLES!
